MISC:Anguilla, the northernmost of the Leeward Islands, is a flat,
low-lying island of coral and limestone. It enjoys a tropical climate
that is moderated by northeast trade winds, but suffers from frequent
hurricanes and other tropical storms. Anguilla has been called the most
unspoiled Caribbean Island. A negligible amount of the land is arable.
It became independent from St.Kitts and Nevis on 19 December, 1980. It
is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations.
